Montevideo Chic is designed for those travellers who enjoy the friendly and informal atmosphere of a hostel, but without compromising on comfort, privacy and quality . We aim to provide clean, well kept accommodation, great service, in a central location, at an affordable price. Here you will find:

You will be staying in an elegant, historic building, full of colonial charm. Built in 1890 by a prestigious furniture producer, Caviglia Brothers, the building has been fully renovated in 2012 to comply with modern standards for accommodation, but still retaining its original features and atmosphere.

Why "Chic"? Well, this is not just any hostel - it's chic. But it's also a reference to the building's past: CHIC was the acronym that the Caviglia Brothers put on their furniture (Caviglia Hermanos Importadores y Carpinteros)!

Policies

if cancellation is made at least 7 days before the check-in date, we will refund 50% of the booking amount (or 100% if less than 24 hours have passed since making the booking)

Smoking: only allowed on the balcony and roof terrace.

Kitchen: can be used outside quiet hours, and should be left clean

Quiet hours: 23:00-9:00. Noise should be kept to a minimum during those hours.

Pets are not allowed.
