Choose one of our private rooms, or if you feel like being a bit m ore social, check out our shared rooms and make new friends. In addition to our main floor restaurant, Dóttir, and our rooftop bar (opening spring 2020), all of our guests can enjoy shared kitchen space to store, cook and prepare their own food. Rooftop access is available for guests all day. All of our common spaces and sleeping rooms have complimentary wi-fi. And last but not least, access to a twelve person guest only sauna - a perfect way to start or end your day. Sauna is a staple of Nordic life and it’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Our sauna, with an adjoining changing room and shower, has been handcrafted from Western Red Cedar and will comfortably seat twelve at a time. Bring your bathing suit.Start your morning downstairs with our European-style breakfast spread, featuring freshly baked breads, house-made preserves, cured meats, cheese, seasonal fruit, and more. And coffee, always coffee.Meet up with the rest of your friends, or make some new ones. Our main floor restaurant, Dóttir, is perfect for grabbing a coffee or beer, people-watching, and connecting with other guests and locals. Our regular programming of live music, art, design, food and everything in between will keep you busy throughout your stay. Or, if you prefer a quieter escape, you can hide out in one of our upper floor lounges and kick back with a good book.

Directions

FROM PDX AIRPORT
Take the MAX Red Line toward City Center. Get off at the Convention Center stop. From there, you can either get on the #6 bus toward Portland City Center at NE MLK & Holladay and go two stops to NE MLK & Burnside, or walk 0.4 miles south on MLK. KEX is located at the NE corner of MLK and Couch St.

FROM UNION STATION
Walk south on 6th Ave to Burnside. Take the #12 bus toward Parkrose Transit Center. Get off at E Burnside & NE Grand, and walk 1 block west on Burnside and one block north on MLK.

FROM I-5 N
Take exit 302A for NE Weidler St toward Rose Quarter/Broadway. Keep right at the fork and merge onto NE Weidler St. Turn right onto NE MLK Jr Blvd. KEX is located on the left, at the corner of NE MLK and Couch.

FROM I-5 S
Take exit 302A toward Moda Center/City Center. Turn left on Weidler Ave, then turn right on NE MLK Jr Blvd. KEX is located on the left, at the corner of NE MLK and Couch.

Policies

Reservations must be cancelled (48) hours prior to your arrival date, in order to avoid a cancellation fee. If reservations are cancelled less than 48 hours before the arrival date, your credit card may be charged the full room charge plus taxes. If you are staying more than (1) night, only the first night and taxes will be charged.
