“Average”

This hostel is more of a cheap hotel - no social atmosphere at all. To be fair, there are some good things about this place, most importantly its location - right in the middle of the old town, close...

“Party spot”

If you visit Bucharest to party is the perfect place! The hostel is clean even though they do not clean the rooms daily (it is a hostel anyway). They provide free water and hot water. The guy in the...

“Good position and cheap”

Too much light from windows. Clean. Fantastic stuff very helpful. Inside Bucharest old town clubland (either you like it if you are in Bucharest for partying or not). Very noisy area but the windows...

Directions

From the Airport (Henri Coanda – Otopeni):
– By Bus:
Take the 783 bus to Bus station Piata Unirii (it is the 8th station – the last one – and about 35 minutes away). From there, walk into the Old City to Strada Gabroveni nr. 2.
– By Taxi:
Use the taxi calling service. There are yellow taxi kiosks beside the Information Desk in the airport Arrivals lounge. Select one of the taxi companies, then take the ticket from the machine. The number on the ticket is the number on the taxi assigned to you. Go outside and look for that same number displayed behind the right rear passenger window on the side of the taxi. Show the driver your ticket and you are good to go. The rate is 1.39 RON/km, and it should cost about 30 RON in total. Ask the driver to take you to “Centrul Vechi” (Old City) and from there, walk into the Old City to Strada Gabroveni nr. 2.

Train
2) From the train station (Gara de Nord):
– By Metro:
Take the M1 (heading to Dristor) and get off at the first stop: Piata Victoriei. Then change to the M2 line (heading to Berceni) and get off at the second stop: Piata Universitatii. From there, walk into the Old City to Strada Gabroveni nr. 2.
– By Taxi:
There are taxis all around the train station, but be careful that they don’t turn off the meter and over charge you!
