The Good Feeling is a hostel and guesthouse in Sagres in the Algarve. We are a homely, friendly hostel where you can meet new friends, learn to surf, do lot's of other great activities and have a great time. It is run by two Portuguese surfers who are always here and willing to help and advise you on how to make the most of your stay in this beautiful part of Portugal.

Every day we take the guests in our vans to the best beaches in the Algarve for free. Depending on which beach you want to visit, sometimes these transfers are a true surf safari, giving you the possibility to surf awesome waves whilst enjoying the epic nature around you.

Other services, such as Stand Up Paddle-Trips, surf guiding, rental of surf equipment, surfing lessons, Yoga and other outdoor activities are available as well - so there will always be lots of things to do. I spent some time volunteering at this hostel and I did not enjoy my experience. I had previously stayed at this hostel as a guest and despite its isolated location I still enjoyed my time here...

Best hostel I stayed so far because all the people I met there were extremely friendly. Every evening they cooked and for 12 € you could eat altogether, in the 12 € even the red wine was included...

Directions

By flight

Take the flight to Faro, from there we can pick you up, just let us know!
Or if you take a flight to Lisbon (which is about 300km north) take a bus from there to Lagos.

By bus

The busses from Faro or Lisbon all end up in Lagos. So if you are coming from Lagos, go to the main bus station and get the bus with the line "Lagos-Sagres". Buy a ticket to RAPOSEIRA. Get off there, walk 50meters in direction of Sagres and to the right you'll find the GoodFeeling Hostel!

By car

From Lagos take the 125 National road in Sagres-direction. After 20km you will be in the Village of Raposeira. Cross the traffic light and after 50meters you'll find the GoodFeeling Hostel on your right hand side.

If you are coming from Lisbon and follow the highway to the south (A2), turn ono the A22 direction Sagres and follow the directions written from Lagos. But if you are coming from the beautiful landroute along the coast (N120/N268) turn in VIla do Bispo onto the mainroad direction Lagos and you'll find the Raposeira as the next town 1km away, where you see the GoodFeeling Hostel soon after you enter Raposeira on the left side!

If you are coming from Faro (eg. the airport) follow the highway direction Portimao/Lagos and then follow the instructions above from Lagos!

Policies

Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival.
If canceled later than 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.
In case of no show, the guest will have to pay the full amount of the reservation.

Late check-in: It is possible a late check-out without charges if it's informed previously.
Late check-out: A 8€ late check-out fee will be charged if the guest doesn't ask for that possibility on the day before.
Towels: There is a deposit of 5€ during the check-in to get the towel. The deposit will be refundable upon check-out and upon towel delivery.
Keys: There is a deposit of 5€ during the check-in. The deposit will be refundable upon check-out and upon key delivery.
Pets: There is a 20€ fee.
Payment: No credit card accepted.
