Mikoko Cove Ecolodge offers several types of accommodation on 9 acres of ocean-front tropical forest, encapsulated by Mangroves. Our three spacious private bandas are perfect for couples, families or groups of friends. The large dormitory banda with 5 beds and the ample camping space provide affordable options for those on a tighter budget.

The large traditional Swahili restaurant and bar at Mikoko cove offers great fresh local seafood and international dishes, cool drinks, cocktails, spirits and a nice selection of wines. The perfect place to mingle, meet other travelers and create unforgettable memories. Come and enjoy an unforgettable stay with us and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Funzi!

Popular excursions for visitors in Funzi are the nature/crocodile safari in the nearby Ramisi River or going on a cultural tour in the village and exploring the islands hidden coves and beaches. The pristine Funzi sand bank is only just a few minutes away by boat and is the perfect place for a swim or to relax with a few cold drinks. Mikoko Cove offers free daily sandbank trips to guests and also provides 3 sea kayaks for free use.

Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park offers great scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities with a chance to swim with dolphins, a great day out on the water.

Directions

From Mombasa, after crossing the channel with the ferry, continue down the main road (A14) in the direction of Tanzania.

After passing the towns of Likoni, Ukunda, Msambweni and Ramisi you will find a big sugar company on your right. You then turn left (opposite the factory) and continue down a 4 km road, until you reach the village of Bodo. In the middle of the village we provide free secured parking and our boat will take you to Mikoko Cove on Funzi Island. Please call before arrival so we can ensure our boat is there to pick you up.

Policies

The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 40% of the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival.
