The Monastery Hostel, newly renovated, is located in a wing of the beautiful Franciscan Friars Convent in Milan, while maintaining an independent input & management from religious institution. Some rooms offer to guests the relaxing view of the Convent Cloister, characterized by the presence of several plant grows. The visitor will be immersed in a really intimate experience in the heart of Milan, a city unstoppable and cozy.Although the Hostel is housed in this historic context, the renovation project aimed to create a change of atmosphere with the goal of surprising visitors. Interiors, actually, have been re-designed in an optical metropolitan-style, while evoking the loving words spoken by St. Francis of Assisi’s famous Canticle of the Creatures. As He praises the World, this welcoming venue extols the virtues of Nature and its Elements, outlining the 3 habitats: Earth, Water, Sky.The realization of the decors was entrusted to the wise and decisive stretch of the lombard painter Celso Maffi. At the entrance of the hostel you’ll find the habitat of the Earth with grass and animals that, while chasing each other joyfully and peacefully resting, greet visitors. In the kitchen area we find ourselves immersed in the element represented by fluctuating water bubbles and darting fish.Going upstairs we finally discover Heaven, between clouds that roll like graceful pinwheels and auspicious birds that stop next to each room. To witness and preserve the housing ancient origins there are two golden wooden effigies placed on the wall that looks at the reception.
