Directions
If you are arriving in Oban by bus, train or ferry you will arrive down on the seafront. Simply walk along the waterfront keeping the water on your left hand side.
When the road bears to the left, take the road straight in front of you that continues straight on. If you find yourself back on the seafront, go back and take the first left.
Continue up this road until you reach a fork in the road. At this point take the right hand fork. This is Breadalbane Street. On your right hand side you will see our Oban Backpackers sign and our famous big red windows.
If you are arriving by road, as you come down the steep hill into Oban, take a left hand turn about half way down the hill into Deanery Brae. Next turn right onto Breadalbane Street. Follow the road along until you see the big red windows on your left hand side.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to arrival will receive a 90% refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to arrival are non-refundable.
(Please note that in order to receive a 90% refund; you must cancel prior to 12.00 noon the day before your booking is due to commence).
Group Bookings:
To make a booking for a group of 6 guests or more, please contact us.
Oban Backpackers Terms and Conditions:
Please bring suitable photographic identification – you will need it to check-in to our hostel.
If any guest within your booking is under the age of 18 you MUST contact us before making the reservation online.
Check In/Out Procedures:
Check in is from 14.30pm, but early arrivals are welcome to store their luggage and use the hostel facilities and common areas. Please feel free to help yourself to complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
If you think you may arrive later than 22:30pm, please give us a call so that we may inform our night porter of your late arrival. We are open for check-in up until 00.00am. Please note, we cannot accept arrivals later than this.
Check out is by 10.30am on the day of your departure – please vacate the room and return the keys by this time. You are more than welcome to store your bags in our luggage storage area throughout the day, free of charge.
Accommodation:
As our accommodation is comprised of bunk-style dormitory rooms, we can only accept families with children if a whole room has been booked for sole occupancy. We cannot accommodate children in dorm rooms with other guests. Please contact the hos
