Description

Georgian town house home of the Wilson family of Dallam Tower. Formerly Vaux Breweries offices and lead to believe to have one of the best wine cellars in town. First Brewery on highgate and still has a 24 hour licence to serve alcohol. The gardens of this house now form part of the Brewery complex and are a joy to sit in . The last brew was brewed over 50 years ago and at one time they employed over 40 people who would supply over 30 pubs in Kendal alone.
The hostel contains over 15 bedrooms with well equipped kitchen, new dining room and laundry facilities and bike storage. WE also store luggage as we are a good stop off point for Scotland from the south

Directions

Take the train to Oxenholme and change onto the Windermere line and we are only 1 stop taking about 2 minutes then a 5 minute walk thorugh town to the hostel. Alternatively take the 555 from Lancaster to Keswick and get off in Highgate and we are only 50 yards away. By car only 8 miles from the M6 junction 36

Policies

Fourteen day notice but if we can sell the rooms we refund the booking We also take group bookings and we require payment for these 14 days before arrival

Dogs by arrangement and arrivals after 8.30pm just phone for door code. Stag and hen groups by arrangement Please note we have a resident cat and a visiting dog but neither of them go in the rooms
