Description

Inverness provides an excellent base to explore the highlands and islands of Scotland. The city has many attractions, including the museum and art gallery, Inverness Castle (with the castle garrison encounter exhibition) and of course the legendary Loch Ness monster around the corner! Inverness is also home to some of the best award-winning live music bars in Scotland as well as restaurants providing amazing food and value.

For all you Outlander fans, Culloden battlefield and the Clava Cairns (inspiration for Craigh na Dun) are a short bus ride away. There are also many tours offered by various companies that explore Inverness, Loch Ness, Glen Affric and many other places of interest.

We have four-, six-, eight- and 10-bed mixed dorm rooms, each with new, comfortable mattresses. There’s hot water 24/7 because of our modern electric showers.

We have a fully equipped kitchen and there’s free tea, coffee, milk and sugar all day.

Our comfortable common room features a 42-inch plasma TV. Come play our piano or strum on our guitar – we love musicians!

Reception is open until 11pm but there’s no curfew! Come and go as you please!

Directions

City Center location alongside the Inverness bus station.

From the bus station - Follow the sign (next to the multi-storey car park building) which says 'Backpackers Hostel'. We are only 1 minute from the bus station.

Five minutes walk from train station. Turn right outside the train station onto Academy Street. Walk 2 blocks, turning right into Margaret Street, which brings you to the bus station. Follow the directions above to get from the bus station to the hostel.

Policies

If you are a group and booking through this site, please call us to make sure your whole group can be in the same room, because it's not guaranteed with your booking. Reception is open between 8am and 11pm. Check-in: from 2pm to 11pm. Please call us if you think you’ll be late. Check-out: 10:00am. We have a 72hr cancellation policy. Please arrange cancellations directly with the reception office. If you wish to cancel by email then please do so at least seven days prior to your arrival. No-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night’s accommodation. All group bookings must be paid in full 28 days prior to arrival; any changes or cancellations must be done before this time. Deposits are never refunded.

This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.
Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay, unless otherwise stated below (see 'Things to Note' information).
