The Location is unbeatable, it's located in a quiet street next to the Plaza de la Catedral, the heart of the Gothic Quarter Barcelona and a few metres from "Las Ramblas". This allows you to walk to the main tourist attractions, the beach and the most popular places to go out and explore the city, from traditional tapas bars to the most festive nightlife.

Itaca Hostel Barcelona is a family hostel with close contact with our guests., we try to find a solution to every problem, our aim is to make your stay as comfortable , fun and satisfying as possible.

We're not a "party hostel" but for those who like to party, we provide all the information you need to enjoy the nightlife that exists in our city away from the hostel.
The staff get every day make your stay enjoyable, very familiar with the city, always ready to give you all the information you need about Barcelona. Moreover every day we have a free guided tour of the Gothic Quarter of the city.

Our facilities are clean, airy with large balconies, cozy and spacious.
The common areas are also social spaces where you can meet other travellers: A common room with TV, DVD where every day we show a Movie (In English ) where you can relax after sightseeing in the city. Also there is a well equipped kitchen and Dining room.

Directions

If you come to Itaca from:

Aeroport de Barcelona - Itaca Hostel Barcelona

Take the "Aerobus" from Terminal and get off at "Plaza Catalonia" (last stop) It leaves every 10 minutes and takes 1 half an hour to reach the centre. Walk down a wide pedestrian street called "Portal de l'Angel" towards the Cathedral, Turn left onto Duran i Bas Street, follow the street to the end, turn (right onto Ripoll Street) walk 50 metres and you'll see us on the right.

Girona Airport (Ryanair) – Itaca Hostel Barcelona

Catch the "Barcelona Bus" from the terminal (It takes an hour) and get off at "North Station". You can follow the map (walking to Itaca 15-20 it takes 15 minutes) or take the metro from "Arc de Triomf" (L1) and get off at “Urquinaona” (L1) Exit via Laietana (1 stop), cross Via Laietana, go down the street, Turn right onto Calle Magdalena, walk 200 m and the street changes name to Calle Ripoll, Find us on the right.

Train station "Sants" – Itaca Hostel Barcelona

Take the subway from the station (L3) and get off at "Liceu" (L3), walk up the Ramblas until you come to a street on your right called Portaferrissa 1 follow it to the end and you come into the Cathedral Square., Facing the Cathedral is The Hotel Colon, go behind it , turn (right onto Ripoll Street) you'll see Itaca.

A taxi from the Airport to the hostel will cost around 30 euros

Remember that cancellations must be done at least 24 hours in advance, BEFORE 11am, and always by email (that way we won't charge you for the first night).

For groups bigger than 8 people, please, contact the hostel.
