'Looming' in Estonian means 'Creation or artwork' - that's why everything is in constant change here.

Looming Hostel offers a new artistic style of accommodation in Tartu, close to the train station - cosy, warm and clean guestrooms are all created by different artists - everything we use for decoration is 99 % reused! We prefer natural materials, small ecological footprint, creativity and fun! In the beginning of 2016, we received the Green Key eco-label and became a proud member of Estonian Social Enterprise Network.

Our guestrooms are located on the attic floor of an old art noveau building completed in the year 1910. The building is also home to a second-hand boutique and a roller-skate rink/music venue. In the nearby community center Aparaaditehas, there is a printing museum, art exhibitions, a restaurant, a bakery, little shops and several other businesses.

There is a kitchen for self-catering, with all the necessary equipment, free WiFi everywhere, free parking, comfortable reception area, sofas, books and games and a cozy sunterrace.

Looming is an animal-friendly hostel, so bring your pets with you!

NB! We require a refundable deposit of 10 € (in cash) per key.

Directions

Looming Hostel is located in Kastani 38.
If you come from the bus station, go to the big crossroad and take the Riia street and walk up Riia hill. After the red-brick Church on your right hand, turn right on Kastani street. Kastani 38 is on your right hand. The bus station is about 20 minutes walking from us.

If you come from the train station and reach the street, turn right, walk one block and turn left to Tiigi street. Walk again one block and turn right to Kastani street . Kastani 38 is a green Art Nouveau style bulding on your left hand. The train station is about 7 minutes away.

Go through the gate - door to the hostel is in a right side of the building. Up to the stairs all the way to the attic.

Policies

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before arrival date. Cancelling your reservation within 24hours of the arrival date or in case of a no show a fee equalling the first night of your stay will be charged.
