Tired of big cities, and impersonal hostels with crowded dorm rooms? Then come to Hostel Krumlov House! In the hostel, you'll find space to spread out, free wifi, a fully-stocked kitchen with free coffee, tea, spices, oil and cookbooks for inspiring cook-fests. Or join us in our music lounge: a well-tuned piano, a didgeridoo, two guitars, an extensive book exchange, and selection of DVDs are waiting for you. Krumlov House has a 100 % non-smoking environment. Speaking of environment -- we compost, recycle, use solar energy, water-saving shower systems, and reclaimed wood for building purposes. Feel secure at Krumlov House. Each dorm room features personal lockers. All private rooms have locking doors. We are also happy to safely store your luggage for your late departure. A note about our private apartments: These are next door or down the hill (or stairs) from the hostel. If you have very large suitcases, please be prepared to roll them along cobblestones or carry them over stairs. Better yet, travel light! Please note our hours are from 9am to 8pm. Plan to arrive early (before it's dark!) to make the most of what this hostel and town has to offer. If you are arriving later than 8pm you MUST arrange for your late check in by email, text, or phone.

“Such a Homey Hostel!!”
This might be a favorite hostel in Europe on my trip so far. It's small and homey feeling. The perfect place to get away and relax for a few days. Clean, good location, and wonderful staff. Highly...
“We enjoyed our stay”
We had the Baker's Room on the right at the bottom of the stairs. It was a spacious room, but the bathroom was pretty small. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but the water was hot. This...
To get to Cesky Krumlov from all major cities (Prague, Vienna, Brno, or Olomouc) you always have to go through Ceske Budejovice. Once you've made your booking, feel free to contact us about the best buses and shuttles from each city. Taking the bus from Ceske Budejovice is the quickest and easiest way to get to Krumlov. The bus station in Ceske Budejovice is above the large shopping centre, 'Mercury Centrum' across the street from the train station. Check the display inside the bus station for the platform number for buses leaving for Cesky Krumlov. When you arrive in Krumlov, get off at the main station, 'autobusove nadrazi', the last stop. It's a large station with about 20 bus stands. A lot of locals get off at other stops, so it can be confusing. Just stay on until the bus goes no further and the driver gives you a funny look. From the main bus station walk towards the castle tower towards the far end of the station (bus stands 22 and 23..), then left up a path that overlooks the town, and then downhill, crossing the main street., With Bowling on your right and Supermarket Coop on your left, walk straight about 20 meters. Then take a sharp left onto Rooseveltova street. Follow Rooseveltova almost to the end (do not veer off to the right, or go downhill!). You will pass a few pensions, but keep walking for about 1 minute and you'll find KRUMLOV HOUSE on the right, with a cool dragon door and a large wooden number 68. These are very complete directions, and it won't take you more than 10 minutes to get to our door from the bus station. FROM THE TRAIN STATION: You will go downhill towards town (about 15 mins), then along a serpentine track that will lead you to the local movie theatre (KINO) and then Latran street. Walk the entire length of Latran (about 15 minutes) until you reach the town square. From there, take the only road that leads uphill, Horni street. Follow Horni street past the Hostel Ruze and over a bridge. (5 mins) Veer right after the bridge and walk the length of Rooseveltova street until you're almost at the end of the road. On your right hand side you'll see a dragon door, number 68. That's us! Welcome.Total time walked from the train station: (about 35 - 40 mins) In bad weather conditions, with rolling suitcases, or at night we really recommend you take a taxi to the hostel from the train station. it only costs about 5 euros and you'll be so happy to skip the long walk into town!
