Canguru Hostel is the safest most laid back option in the city. Located 30m(100ft) from Jabaquara Beach (Praia do Jabaquara), the cleanest in Paraty's urban perimeter and 1km (0.86mi) from Historic Centre (Centro Histórico), a 10 minute walk from your house in Paraty to the most thrilling dancing clubs.
With a market around the corner and lots of kiosks, bars and restaurants through the lenght of the shore, Jabaquara Beach is also composed by a mangrove (manguezal) on its north edge, a flooded swampy green area, home of many a species of fauna and flora and with a muddy ground, believed to have therapeutic properties for the skin.
Our breakfast is offered daily to guests from 8am until 10am and contains cereals, fruits, coffee, tea, juice and a selection of sandwich freshly prepared by our cook.
For other meals there is a selection of beach kiosks that serve food and also a market just around the corner if you feel like cooking in our kitchen.
We have occasional dinner nights as a cheaper option than downtown, ask at reception for tonight's dinner special.
