In the heart of the town, you'll find a great hostel containing fun and friendly people and great staff.

Meet real people that enjoy travelling and having fun. Here all things are considered and there are no surprises- our prices include everything.

We provide fresh linen to all guests and tea and coffee are served all day. Breakfast is provided daily!

The only rules we have are: to not make any noise after 11 p.m. and dont go into the pool after 10pm so we can let our guests relax in peace, to have fun and enjoy your time here.

We are close to everything and its all walking distance. The lagoon the bars and the shopping centre.
PLEASE NOTE: booking via this site is for new guests only. Existing guests booking on this site will still be charged the normal nightly rate and the deposit paid will not be applied.

Cheap accommodation in Cairns shouldn't compromise on comfort. The city is a busy and hectic place so it's important for us at Reef Backpackers Cairns to do as much as possible to ensure our guests can get a comfortable night sleep.

You will find the Reef Backpackers amazingly quiet for being located in the centre of Cairns but at the same time, for the ones who want to enjoy Cairns nightlife, you will find restaurants, bars, clubs and the best spots in town within a few minutes walking distance.

Directions

We have a great location and are close to everything (walking distance), however we are far enough away for guests to be able to enjoy a good nights sleep.

We are located in Grafton Street in the heart of the city center, between Aplin and Florence Street , three blocks down from the esplanade and 5 minutes walk from all the restaurants pubs, bars, shops etc.

Why stay out of town when you can stay with us?

Policies

We understand that travel plans can change so here is our cancellation policy.
If your Booking is cancelled within 2 days of arrival date you are responsible for 100% of the first night at full price.

Check in time is 4 pm – 7 pm. Please let us know if you are arriving after 7 pm with a phone call to 0499986803. Check out time is 10 am.

We are able to help you plan activities while you are here. Our website www.reefbackpackers.com has other interesting information.

If you are flying in or free airport pickup service runs between 8am and 8 pm daily, just go to bus bay six at the airport and tell the drive your going to the Reef backpackers.

We also have great tour specials for all you guests , if you’re interested in a particular tour let us know and we can get a price for you.
