Thornycroft Camp

The camp is built in the middle of nature, away from any noise and pollution. The four dorms sleep 20 guests each on bunk beds. As it is a "budget facility", it is run on a strict "bring your own bedding, towels etc" basis. The main feature is the huge braai grill with seating all around. There is a hall with seating for 80 guests, ample ablutions, and a kitchen space for preparing salads etc and doing dishes. The two dams next to the dorms are perfect for swimming and fishing, and the surrounds are great for long walks, soccer, touch rugby etc.

Como llegar

When travelling on the N2: Look out for the Amalinda exit. If coming from Durban, turn right at the top of the exit. If coming from King William's Town, turn left at the top of the exit. At the T-junction, turn left. After 800 m, turn right into Thornycroft Road and follow for 2.5 km. Cross the bridge and find us on the other side.
When travelling on the N6: drive all the way down. At the big traffic circle, turn right and look our for the N2 to King William's town. Then follow directions above.
Public transport: take a Quantum taxi and get off at the corner of Voortrekker Road and Thornycroft Road. You will have to walk the last 3 km.

Políticas

In the event of the cancellation of a secured booking, the following applies:
3 months prior to arrival: 50% of deposit refunded
2 months prior to arrival: 25% of deposit refunded
1 month prior to arrival and no-show: full booking amount is due

Please do bring everything you will need, including bedding and towels. For groups, a REFUNDABLE breakage deposit of R1000 per dorm is required. This deposit will be refunded upon leaving providing all is in order.
