Our first Soul Kitchen hostel was opened 3 years ago, and won the award of the best hostel in Russia in 2010, Soul Kitchen junior is our newest addition to the first one, it's a youth hostel of a new breed providing our higher standard of accommodation in this beautiful city.The owners of Soul Kitchen junior are passionate hosteliers who took their time to conceptualize and build the hostel from bottom-up. Their goals are to get together the privacy of a hotel with youth hostel social vibe as well as carefully decorated interior design.Soul Kitchen junior hostel is ideally located in the most beautiful and central area of St Petersburg (near St Isaac's cathedral) in 150 years old neo-baroc building, within a short walking distance to all major attractions and interesting spots of the city.Our guests are welcome to relax in our spacious TV lounge, surf internet or read a book in the reading lounge and enjoy the fantastic river view from the balcony. Take advantage of our unique kitchen, equipped with everything needed to cook a good meal and with the authentic stove of 19th century that we've upgraded to the modern gas oven.Our facilities include 4 shared and 10 private bathrooms, three common rooms (two lounge rooms and kitchen with dining area), deposit lockers for your huge backpack, free towels, linen, free coffee and tea all day, free wi-fi and even free international landlines calls for 56 countries.Queen-sized bunk beds are available for couples traveling together, or the traveller who likes a bigger bed. It 's equipped with power sockets and reading light. You can also charge your gadgets and accessories safely with power socket inside the individual lockers.To help you to get around, we've got free maps, our staff will help you find activities for your interests, as well as recommend hidden treasures, we can also help you with booking your train ticket. From 'Admiralteyskaya' metro station:turn right and walk two blocks till Moika river, when you will face the river turn right and walk till 'red' bridge. cross the bridge and turn right, walk along the river till building 62, our entrance is under the first balcony (4th building after the bridge, left side of the river), press a single button and don't forget to mention that you're going to Soul Kitchen hostel if you are asked. By CarPlease note that to reach the hostel building by car you have to turn to Moika river from Gorokhovaya street (one-way traffic).By TaxiTaxi fare can be different depends on time, in the night the ride from the airport will cost around 800 RUB and around 900 RUB in the daytime, if you go from Moskovskiy train station it's about 400 RUBBE AWARE of private taxi service - even if they say they are on a meter, don't use them because they will try to steal your money because Russian taxi don't use any meters - prices are fixed! If you use a taxi office inside the airport discuss the price and take the receipt before starting your jouney. Avoid offers of the taxi drivers even if they have the company badge with them. Best way is to book a taxi in advance by phone, online, or contacting us.
