The Yellow

Via Palestro 49

Description

You choose; hostel or hotel. We have private rooms or shared dorms for the shoestring traveller to the fancy globetrotter. Basically, we can cater to international crowds with a variety of wants, needs and desires.

Our reception staff are available 24 hours, TWENTY-FOUR HOURS, that's right, 24/7, like all day, every day they're there, with their often questionable taste in music but always with a smile and knowledge about our eternal city. You can also just go say, "hello" or "¡hola" or "ciao" or "ellohay" (that's Pig Latin, FYI), "bonjour", our international staff like it in every language.

The bar is also open 24/7 and serves delicious treats all hours, you're welcome.

The dance club, AKA The Arcade, hosts events, travelling musicians perform to stay for free and there's a DJ's every single night. If the heart of the hotel is the bar, the Arcade is the arm you throw up in the air when you do the Harlem shake.

There's also a lounge, if you prefer a quiet cup of tea before you hit the sites. And don't forget to pick up a free map, it will guide you through the city with tasty gelaterias, pizzas and other Roman yummies. Oh, and there's like, cultural stuff on there too, apparently Rome's pretty old and offers lots of famous and secret sites.

The hotel is not responsible for its guests. My aunt was removed, even though she had already paid for the bed in a shared room and the hotel didn't even bother to resolve the situation. She was...

“Old people are not allowed”

I had already booked the hostel and paid for 3 nights for my mother and me. She ALWAYS stays in hostels, in shared rooms, and always has a great experience. This time, at check-in (i.e., we were...

Directions

Once you get to Termini station we’re a short stroll away:
Walk through the Termini Gallaria, and don’t you dare stop at McDonalds, exit onto Via Marsala turning left. You’ll see a taxi rank, which you don’t need, walk past it and turn right onto Via Vicenza. Then, take your fourth left onto Via Palestro, that’s our street!! You’ll see the bar on the right-hand side, and reception is on the left. Go through the big double doors and then up 12 steps on your left. You’ll find our bubbly receptionists, probably trying to radio shots from the bar, but also ready to check you in and get your adventure started.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations must be received by email by 1.30pm (CET) the day before your arrival date. We don't accept cancellations or changes via phone. Only when you receive a reply with the confirmation of your cancellation or change can you be sure that your request has been processed and what the final outcome is. We reserve the right to charge you for the remaining balance of the first night should you not arrive.

Guests aged 17 must be accompanied by another guest aged 18 or older and have written permission from a parent or legal guardian authorising the older guest to act as guardian for the duration of their time abroad. This must be given to reception upon check-in. Guests aged 40 or older must stay in a private room. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings and charge the amount for the first night as a late cancellation fee if these restrictions have not been respected.
A Rome City Tax of €3.50 per person, per night is not included in the rates and shall be added to your balance, payable by cash.
A valid EU ID or passport is required at check-in.
For bookings of two or more guests we'll try our best to put everyone in the same room but we can't guarantee it.
