Four Courts Hostel

15-17 Merchants Quay

Description

HostelCulture says

One of the longest running hostels in Dublin, the Four Courts Hostel maintains a unique charm in a building full of old character. With a laid back yet professional approach, the young hostel crew make the atmosphere social, fun and friendly. A great sized kitchen means easy cooking and decent sized communal spaces, chill out areas and happy, welcoming desk staff make this Dublin hostel one of the best in the city. It's location opposite the historic Four Courts building on the river Liffey means it's a great base for day-time adventures and makes for a nice short stroll passed beautifully illuminated bridges and buildings to the heart of the city's action come evening.

Directions

From the Airport:
Taxi: There is a taxi rank outside the arrivals hall. It will cost around 25.

Bus: Hop on the No. 747 Bus directly outside the airport and ask to be let off at Merchant's Quay. It will cost €6. He will probably let you out on Ushers Quay which is just past our hostel. When you get off the bus, turn left and walk back to the hostel past the traffic lights.

There is also a 24hr bus service, the Aircoach Express Bus, that brings you to O'Connell street for €7.

A cheaper option is the regular bus #41 or #16A which will drop you at O'Connell Street. This bus costs €2.20. You can then take the Luas (tram) from Abbey street straight down to the Four Courts stop. Cross over the river and you should see us.
Alternatively, a short walk along the river from O'Connell street will get you to us.

Walking from O'Connell Bridge:
Turn right after you cross the bridge so that the river is on your right side. Walk down along the riverside until you've passed four bridges. Once you pass the 4th bridge we'll be on your left-hand side, halfway between it and the next bridge. There is a big sign so you won't miss it.

From the Bus Station: The No. 90 will cost just €1.10, or a taxi should cost around €6. You can also take the Luas (Tram) (€1.50) and get off at The Four Courts stop.We are just across the river.

From the Train Station:The No. 90 bus runs between both Heuston and Connolly Stations and it passes right outside our door! The Tram also runs between Heuston and Conn
