Besides riding The Engima Bowl, and The Gratitude Trails, Andros Island has a thriving natural environment providing you with opportunities to hike, swim, and go exploring on the island.
Hiking:
Walk out your front door and onto the islands intersecting trails; drinking fresh spring water along the way while stopping to eat berries, figs, plums, grapes, lemons, and oranges fresh from nature.
Andros Island is unique for it’s many natural freshwater springs (our village’s own mountain water has been bottled for almost a century http://sariza.gr/) and ancient footpaths with breathtaking views that are easily navigated with maps and markers -the hotel and our village even intersects with a couple trails (http://androsroutes.com).
Swimming:
There are a few fresh mountain stream swimming spots close to the hotel(10 mins walk). A longer, 45 minute, walking path (well marked and traveled) leading from your room to the beach is a beautiful way to experience the natural beauty of our island ! This footpath follows a meandering river from the mountain down to the sea where it mixes with salt water. Since the return is mostly uphill, we can easily organize come pick you/your group up from the beach later on in the day !
Food:
Traditional Greek food is made daily with creative twists using ingredients fresh from our fertile island; giving guests the healthy boost they need to stay active!
Kitchens are also in every room and we encourage guests to try cooking with local ingredients.
